Having posted our pricing tables for the years 2020, 2021, 2022 and up until June 2023, we now share the delayed introduction of price increases.
Bookings for dates made prior to 01 June 2023 will be honoured at the price listed according to the date on which the booking was confirmed, until the 31 December 2023 when all prices will align fully for all members or non-members for the start of 2024.
No businesses, least of all niche, micro and nanos, like to put their prices up. I am acutely aware of the cost-of-living crisis and I am in no way trying to make life harder for guinea pig owners. However, I have to acknowledge my own time and resources have become stretched working at an average salary rate of £2 per hour, and my own core costs – water, electricity, hay, dry food, fresh veg – have risen substantially over the past three years while my prices have remained static.
Some price increases will appear big in percentage terms, as a result of charging too little for what is a particularly skilled service. This, along with not wanting to alienate anyone, is the reason there are such a wide variety of increases – some services only rising by 17%, most by 20%, and one by 60%.
The overall increases combined with the high customer loyalty I experience are also the reasons I decided to retain the full 30% discount for those kind enough to pay for annual memberships, so while the intial outlay has increased from £30/year to £40/year, the discount you receive on all services will not change.
I am also offering an SOS scheme to those who are unemployed or unable to work, whereby – at my discretion – I am prepared to provide essential services at a rock bottom price in exchange only for pre-scheduling quarterly appointments – purely for the sake of getting the important services to the piggies who still need it. More on this including requirements, restrictions and how to apply will be published shortly.

Price increases are 17% – 60% on previous years and are reflective of skill involved and additions to services.
Core services (full grooms) have increased by 20%, and 25% for long hairs on account of the time and skill level involved.
All grooms* will be finalised with a full written grooming debrief, a printed weight chart which we will have started for you, and a written health report.
*Just Nails will only come with a grooming debrief.

*Home visits will not be weighed however a chart will still be provided.
